Who runs this site

The SMBHelper website is operated by CAPITAL MEDIA LTD, a company registered in United Kingdom (company number 16633169). For company details and the registered address, see the legal notice.

What we collect on the public site

The public SMBHelper site (guides, glossary, tools, templates, insights) is designed to be useful without an account. Browsing public pages does not require sign-in.

Calculators run in your browser. Inputs you type into a tool are not sent to our servers unless you explicitly choose to save a result while signed in.

Analytics and usage tracking

We use a small amount of usage analytics to understand which pages help readers and where navigation breaks down. This helps us prioritise improvements. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it to identify individual readers.

Where possible, analytics is configured to be lightweight and privacy-respecting. If a specific analytics provider is enabled in the future, this section will be updated to name it.

Cookies and similar technologies

SMBHelper may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for these purposes:

  • Remembering basic preferences (for example, dismissing the cookie notice).
  • Keeping you signed in to the workspace area, if you create an account.
  • Measuring overall site usage in aggregate.
  • Where third-party advertising is enabled, the ad provider may set its own cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Where a consent prompt is shown, your choices are respected for ad-related cookies.

Third-party advertising

SMBHelper is a free resource site supported by display advertising. Where ads appear, they are clearly labelled. Third-party vendors, including ad networks, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites.

We do not share the contents of your tool inputs or any account data with advertising networks.

How Google uses data

If Google products such as AdSense, Ad Manager, or related ad technologies are enabled on this site in the future, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can review how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.

For users in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, where required, ad consent will be collected through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) before personalised ads are served.

Workspace accounts

If you create an account in the workspace area, we store the data you save there (business profile, customers, invoices, proposals, calculator sessions) so we can show it back to you. We don't sell or share that data with advertisers.

Children's privacy

SMBHelper is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example when a specific analytics provider, advertising network, or consent platform is enabled. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
